We have gotten so much rain!!! Yay!!!!! I'm looking forward to mowing soon since we've gotten so much rain! The only thing is, though, that there's a real big section of the yard that needs to be de-thatched and then seeded. I just haven't felt like doing it. I really got out of the notion to work outside this summer because of the drought. Usually after I mow (at least once a week) I continue working outside on other parts of the yard. But, since we haven't gotten much rain, I haven't needed to mow. And, since I haven't needed to mow, I haven't been in the mood to do anything in the yard. I have a done density scan tomorrow. I had a screening done at the state fair and my mom and sister either have the beginnings of or have osteoporosis and take med. for it. My screening said I was "osteopenic" (?). So, because of that and the family history, I'm having one. I have it at 9:15 and then M.I.T. at 10. After that, I'm going to Sam's and then to the home consignment store to take a picture of the bunk beds to see if she'll sell it. I was sooooo fortunate to have found the exact pic of this bunk bed on the internet. I saved it, made it bigger, printed it, took measurements of the bed, wrote them down on the print out, took a drawer out to show the lady and put the drawer and sheet of paper in the van, so I have NO excuse not to take it. Of course, I have to go BACK across town after M.I.T. to do this. I can't take it after the bone density scan because 1) she's not open yet and 2) I have to get to M.I.T. by 10 or before. I don't really want to go anywhere. I just want to stay at home!!! Well, I'll be very glad I went to MIT after I get there! And, I'll be very glad I went to the consignment store when she says she'll take it! We'll be soooo glad to get it out of the garage and get the big garbage can back in. I guess that sounds funny, saying you want a big garbage can in your garage instead of a bed! (The garbage smells, the bed doesn't!) ANYWAY, the bed is taking up much more room than the garbage can and the bikes and such are crowded. Two students didn't come today and generous me said they could come Wed. Also, these 2 haven't finished paying, so I have to mail the dad a bill. I've never had to do that in all of the 15 years I've been teaching! I've added a late fee. Oh, by the way, see the Bible Quiz to the right? Well, the first time I saw one of those, I was afraid that the person who owned the blog would know my score (which I knew would not be good). If you're thinking that, too, know that I won't know your score. When you click "submit" (well, I know it doesn't say that, but I can't see it as I type, you know) it will take you to their web site and tell you your score. I think there's a different one everyday and they have 30. So, the same one will probably show back up in 30 days. I put it on there because of my desire to know more about the Bible. Let me tell, you, however, that I'm in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and if you know anything about that, you know that it's very thorough. We're in Matthew this year (yes, I said "year"). |
