Well, it's getting a bit warmer here. I am still chilled from the cold we've had the past 2 weeks. I think we lost our bamboo "bush" as well as the 5 transplants and our azalea bush. Good news-I hooked up my dad's battery charger to the 4-wheeler thingy and it worked! Now, I just have to get a battery. We're going to use the Toys R Us gift card (it has about $10 on it is all) to put on it. Also, I sprayed Tilex on it and it cleaned up beautifully! I used Tilex on the 2 front porch rocking chairs and they look good, too. I hope it didn't hurt the paint. Now I have to clean the front porch swing, but not with Tilex because there's not any mildew on it. I put up Perry's "teeing off" net sort of permanently. You can take it down, but it's much easier to put up and take down because I drove 2 pipes into the ground and now the legs just plop right down in there. The only bad thing is, and I will fix this, is that last week when he had all those people over, I hurriedly put it up and the ground was dry, so I hammered it in the ground, and had to "take it apart" where it comes apart and the long elastic inside the poles that holds it together broke after my first whack at it. The first whack I knew it was going to, but I had to get it in the ground. Actually, first, I watered the grass where I was going to drive it in the ground to soften it up, but it wasn't enough, that's why I resorted to using the hammer. It's going to be a pain to fix the thing so it doesn't come apart. I mowed the front yard yesterday and the rest this morning (in the rain, well, actually it was sprinkling) and then I put up the net and it looks real nice. I have played "shape shifter" so much lately. I timed myself playing for 45 minutes and got to level 23 or something. I just love playing it! One more thing I'm thankful for and that is the 4 big trees we have in the back yard. |
