I blogged earlier today about my hens eating thier eggs.  I have tried a few things to prevent this.  I put straw in the nest boxes.  I believe the eggs were cracking when they hit the box.  I also moved their oyster shell pan over beside their feeder.  I noticed after going back out to check on them, some were enjoying setting in the straw lined boxes, and they seem to have eaten about half of the dish of oyster shells!  Hope this works.
