Keep Praying

Thanks so much for the prayers for my sister and her husband.  He talked to my dh for over an hour.  I think his eyes were opened a little bit.  He knows that divorce is wrong but thinks it is best.  He is not aware of how emotionally hurt his family will be because of his choice.  Please keep praying that God will do a big work in his heart and that they will be restored as a couple.  Marriage isn't easy for anyone but you can't just give up when things get tough.  And God's plan is always best.

The past 2 weeks have been quite emotional in many ways.  Of course my sisters marriage situation but also my husbands uncle died last week.  He was very close to him and spent all their holidays together when he was a kid etc...  Plus he has 2 brothers who are both in jail right now.  The three sisters that he has who are living in the same area back East are not really getting along.  Big mess that I can't really go in to but one brother has hurt a minor that is one of their relatives.  They needs lots of prayers and healing too.

But - on a happy note - we are going on our church campout this coming weekend.  It will be a time of refreshing.  AND - Sat. of the campout is my husbands 40th birthday and everyone at the campout is planning a big surprise party for him (since he is the Pastor he gets special attention which he dearly needs right now!!)  I am looking forward to the weekend.

I need to get meals planned though and get organized!!

Somehow we tend to think that the pastor is immune to all the hurts of life. But he and his family are the ones that Satan wants most to tear apart.
Bless you and your family - and know that church camp will be a time of refreshing.
