Swimming and the Civil War!

We have been hanging out lately trying to endure the heat.  I have AC so I am not complaining.  Today it is for sure 110 and will likely hit 115 in some areas.  The past 2 weeks we all took swimming lessons.  I decided it would be more fun to take the mom and tot class than for me and the tot to sit and watch the 2 big kids.  It turned out to be fun.  It seemed that was about all we accomplished in those 2 weeks.  Next week it is off to camping with old friends.  There will be 4 families and the fun and fellowship are awesome.

I really need to post some pictures.  I need DH to lend his talent to help me.  We have redone DS10's bedroom in a Civil War theme.  We had a man paint a mural on one wall of the Northern and Southern flags.  He did an amazing job of making the flags look so real - like they are waving on the wall.  Then I painted the walls grey and blue - grey around the top and blue around the bottom with a white stripe around the middle - which I will stencil red stars in.  They will tie in with the flags.  I have a few wall decorations on order.  One is a poster of  Chamberlain's charge and the other is a parchment print of the battles of the Civil War.  Anyway - it looks great and it is fun to give him a "big boy" room after his construction theme of 6 years.
