Birthday Celebrations

Today was my mom's birthday and they were able to drive 15 minutes to come for dinner and then just head for home later.  No more 4 hour drives.  It was so nice.  I made a homemade cherry pie from the cherries that me and the kids picked a few days ago.  It was sooooo good.  Everyone loved it.  My first homemade cherry pie.  It was easy except for pitting every cherry by hand.  There must be some fancy tool out there.  Pampered chef??

It was sooo hot again.  The temp. in my van read 114 at one point.  It was well over 100 all day and finally at 9 pm we sat outside and it was still warm but tolerable.

It is very challenging to type with the cat walking back and forth across the front of the computer screen.  I feel so loved though.

Happy Independence Day to all of you tomorrow. 

Did anyone receive James Dobson's family letter today?  Very disturbing.
