Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year day. Mine was uneventful but that is okay - trying to organize the house and clean it some. I like cleaning out and getting things ready for a home school sale in April and sorting through things to give to the thrift store and cleaning and moving furniture around. Dear son will be leaving this Thursday for a DTS school with YWAM until July. Things will be different here but God is the God of new beginnings, so I'm praising God that he wants to serve in missions. It will be interesting to see what all God has for his life. A girl from a past church we attended called up to find the number of a friend of mine who homeschooled boys. I was able to give her the number so hopefully they will connect. We had a boy and a girl and not 2 boys who feed off each other. She is just beginning to homeschool; her oldest is 7 and she has three younger. In my opinion it's better not to get too stressed about it and try to enjoy every minute of it. I sure learned oodles from homeschooling and now one is finished and the other is phasing into community college - yeah!!!!!!! Prayerfully this year will be one of humbling ourselves and seeking God's face. |
