Matthew 6:34So don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Well--We sat down and finally did our Summer Schedule using "Managers of the Home" and let me tell you I am so excited about it and so are my kids! The older two helped me to plan it by revising and reviewing our plan from last year and that really was so neat! I just love seeing our children grow, mature and value what they do! They are always checking the schedule now and feel like we need to be "on task!" We schedule time in each day for field trips or day trips and made a list of all the places (FREE) we'd like to go to this summer--I loveit because the places they picked are not only fun , but educational! So, yesterday we went to the North Carolina Museum of Science. It was the first time for the little ones to go--and they had a ball. The neatest thing though, was to see my older children catch on to that excitement and encourage them to "look for the bear or where's the turtle or look at the dinosaur prints." That was just such a marvelous blessing. God is so good, we just need to open our eyes and watch our children. They are miracles in and of themselves!
So I encourage you as I am being encouraged this summer and each and every day--to sit back and enjoy those special moments. Be a part of their lives and enjoy each stage no matter how challenging it may be! (my twins make this especially challenging, but a true joy and blessing they are!)
See the miracles and witness to them! Blessings to all!
Here are some of my everyday miracles!

Look at me--I'm a NC Bear!! Roar!!!!!

Discovering! The best part of being a child!! (or an adult :))

The fabulous five!! Emma, James, Cruz, Hannah, & Catherine!
It used to be the Sensational Six--but we're missing our baby girl--Barbara--in the navy! She's doing excellent though and we are so incredibly proud of her! To you baby--we love you and your little brothers and sisters miss you!! Come home soon so they can terrorize you!!
Everybody stay safe and if you're in Central or coastal NC by the fire--stay indoors! The smoke here is atrocious! It burns our eyes and we could hardly enjoy being out today! Pray that the fire can be contained and ended! |
