Matthew 6:34So don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Well, I have sad sad news. Our little brown nubie didn't make it. He died in my sons and my arms yesterday. We tried everything we could and it was just too late. He didn't want to eat or drink anything and completely stopped standing. We spent most of the morning and afternoon with him and trying to help him, but nothing worked. We feel so sad, especially my 12 year old son, James. My friend who asked me to rescue him knew that it was probably too late, but we tried. It just breaks our hearts and we wish we could have got him sooner before too much damage had been done. His mother died right after birth and I don't believe they gave him supplementation so that was probably a big part of the problem. We loved on him though right until the end and I can at least feel at peace to know he didn't suffer alone. Poor little goat.
On a brighter note, the little chick that my 15 year old slammed into the "barn' door is doing so incredibly well! We nursed him inside for over two weeks and got him strong enough to stand and walk on his own again. I'm sure several bones were either fractured or broken and his little neck was twisted. Poor guy--but through love and perserverance and hand feeding he has made it back into the "barn" and is doing well--despite a little crook in his neck which will probably be permanent! My daughter has prayed and prayed her heart out for this little guy. The tremendous guilt she has felt at not being a little more cautious so she is very happy that he's survived.
Also--let's here about your homeschool programs--if you haven't read my previous post, please do so and comment about the curriculum you use, etc. It's that time for me and I'm sure a lot of moms and dads to start praying about curriculum choices and a little insight is always helpful!
Blessings to all!

'Tis the Season! Isn't this beautiful! I love tractors!
