I'm so excited, I just had to share!! I've had a hand-me-down sewing machine for 5 years and have never gotten around to using it. I was starting to wonder if I'd ever learn.   But I've finally been inspired to give it a try!  Earlier this month,       I got it cleaned up and did some maintance and then yesterday I finally had a little bit of spare time to use it.

A couple months ago, I bought an apron from Crystal Miller and then just recently, I found the same fabric at the store and my kids got all excited and wanted matching aprons, so that's what I worked on yesterday afternoon. I know I would never win a sewing contest with them, but they make me smile ("I made something!!") and the kids love them.  And I didn't even have a pattern!!  And they survived cookie-baking last night!  They didn't fall apart!!
