I used a coupon!!

This might seem silly, but oh well.... I'm trying to be smarter with my money (and better steward of what the Lord has provided)!  I had to buy Pull-Ups today, and I bought them on sale with a coupon! This is a big step for me... Depending on the store, I normally pay $9.99 - $11.99. The store that I went to had them on sale for $8.99 and with my coupon I paid $6.99. The coupon was only good for one, so I also bought the store brand which was on-sale with a $2 rebate, so if I send in the rebate, the price will be $6.99. I am notoriously bad about forgetting to send in rebates, even larger ones. So, now it's in writing, so I will have to hold myself to it and get it sent in. :) Anyway, I was really happy that I shopped wiser and got a much better deal than when I normally whip out my debit card and buy whatever's there. And thanks to Michele for inspiring me to be a wiser shopper! :)

Good for you using the coupon. I love the feeling of getting the discount that I get from coupons. I use mine alot at the Dollar General, that is really when I feel like I save money.

I am a coupon queen myself! Today I shopped at Albertson's, and got 95 dollars worth of groceries for 65 dollars using instore specials, a few manufacturer's coupons, a coupon for a free gallon of ice cream that expired tomorrow, and a store coupon for $5 off when you spend $50.
I usually shop at Walmart for groceries, but Albertson's is the best for store specials. They have a lot of 10 for $10 deals going on.
Check out www.betterbudgeting.com for some really good shopping and couponing advice. Also, there's tons of great websites out there for the thrifty and thrifty wannabes!

Your post isn't silly at all! You saved quite a few dollars and it was an inspiring post to read : ) We don't have many coupons here but I always try to compare the prices in different stores. You can save quite a lot like that. Have a nice day!
