DH's Retirement

My dh called me at 10:30 am and asked me if I would like to join him and his crew from work to go out for lunch. I said sure what time? He said at 12::00. This was his last day at work and his boss, David wanted to take him out to Golden Corral in Destin. There were a total of 6 people there. After eating his boss told him he could go home. I can't beleive that tomorrow he will be home with me. The first time in the last 13 years that we had Sunday off together. Now we can start going to church together again.

Last night I was thinking, that we could get together with my brother and Moon for dinner Saturday night. Today after lunch I called my brother and asked him to meet us at a pizza place, but he told me he had it for the last 2 days. Then we decided to meet at Sonny's Barbecue. As we were talking my dh came into the same room and asked me who I was talking too? I told him Pat my neighbor because I didn't want him to know he was meeting my brother for dinner. I wanted to surprise him. After we were done talking, I decided to make him a funny retirement card. I was almost done and noticed my watch wasn't working and looked at the clock and saw it was 5:10 pm. We had to leave right away to be at Sonny's at 5:30. I had most of the card finished. I put it into my purse and we left.

On our way over to Sonny's Barbeque my brother called on my cell phone, but I wasn't able to answer his call. I told dh that i would call him back when we're at Sonny's. When dh parked out car, he noticed my brother was there. I started laughing really hard. I told him we were meeting Pat there. lol

I gave him my card. On the front I made a honey-do list. lol Inside I had, Congratulations, you have only one boss now. LOL ME

After eating we all came met at our house and played aggravation. Men against the women as usual. Out of four games Moon and I won 3. lol
