Chicken Goulash

When dh and I visited his sister.  She gave me a lot of her recipe's I'm sharing with everyone.  She was using these for many years.  Some of these possibley could be her mom's. She cooked for a family of four.   Enjoy.

2 whole chicfken breats (about 2 lbs.) split, skinned, boned and cut into strips

1/2 c cooking oil

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 lg. onion, sliced

1 clove garlic, minced

* 1 1/2 cup tomato juice

* 1 (14 oz) can stewed tomatoes, broken up

* 1 tbsp. chicken flavored instant bullion

* 2 tsp. paprika

* 1 tsp. parsley flakes

* 1 1/2 tsp. thyme leaves

 1 (8oz.) container sour cream

1 (80z) pack, red cross noodle

2 tbsp. soft butter or margarine

Sprinkle chicken with sale and pepper,  coat with flour, frown in large skillet.  Pour off all but 3 tbsp dripping.  Add onion and garlic; cook until onion is tender.  Add next 6 ingredients, simmmer cover 20 to 25 minutes.  Uncover, remove from heat.  Let cool some.   Slowly stir in sour cream until thourghly blended.  Prepare noodle, drain and toss with butter.  Serve over noodle.
