Sit Beside Me

I met a dear friend on line.  Her name is Eileen.  We knew each other for about 8 years now.  I just received an email from her, saying this:

Dear Friends,
    It is with great sadness that Corry, KiKi, Brooke, Michael and I give you the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear husband and father, Greg, yesterday April 30, 2008.

 We are so sorry to communicate this sad message through e-mail.  Please forgive us, but we are overwhelmed with the duties involved in preparing for Greg's funeral on Saturday.

Our love to all,

I have been looking all night for a poem to send her. 

I found this one and would like to share it:

Sit Beside Me

This will not be easy Lord,
what I'm about to do.
Will You, sit beside me,
and hold me till I'm through?

I've lost my dearest friend, Lord,
and I really need You now.
I want to draw You closer,
come sit, and show me how.

You are why I'm here Lord,
through You, I'm born again.
So place Your hand, on me Lord,
so my heart can start to mend.

I am sorry for your friends loss. I am sure the poem you have found will bring her great comfort.
