On My Mind Today

Hi Everyone,

Each year it is so hard to decide with 380 homes on who will win the yard of the month sign. Their are a lot of people that are very creative.

Today three homes in our neighborhood won the 2008 Christmas Yard of the Month. The first place won over half of the votes from our club. This is the first time a home was designed like a gingerbread house. It had a lot of enlarged artificial lollipop's and m & m's and other candy that a lot of children asked if they could eat. Their home also had light galore all over it and including their roof.  The lights were approximately 5 inches apart.  She was so surprised when we came and knocked on her door to give her the Yard of the Month sign. Her Dh was at work at this time. We told her we will be back to take pictures and present an award with a certificate.

Second place won for the 8 foot homemade artificial snowman. Their home had a lot of lights, too. The third place won for representing a blue Christmas.  We also have 5 homes for honorable mentions.
