On My Mind Today

Little Bit About My Family

Hi everyone,

Dh and I just came home from Pats house.  We're pretty sure we will finish all of this tomorrow.  It's been pretty hot outside and we had some watermelon and decided now is the good time to eat a piece of it.  mmm good.  He also mowed our lawn too. 

I was just thinking about my real Mom.  I never did get to know her because she passed away when I was 2 years old.  Part of my  heart feels empty without her.  I had so many friends that had both of their parents.  Anyway, I know which school she went to but didn't know if there was a way for me to get in contact with someone who graduated the same year she did.  It would really be neat if there was a way. 

My father never graduated.  He had to quit school to help support his mom  and the rest of the family.   His father passed away when he was 3 days old  from a train accident.    His mom did re-marry but I'm not sure exactly when this took place.  He has 3 half brothers and 1 half sister.  Their ages were 10 years or more apart.     I can remember him telling me he was raised in a poor family and his step father hardly worked.  At times they didn't have very much food to eat.   My dad delivered bread to restaurants.  He was also a bartender. 

My mom's side of the family I never did get to know them because I posted before that my dad paid another family to take care of my brother and me.  They lived pretty far away.
