   We did a lot outside today. We planted our herbs in the rectangular flower boxes this year.  I really love flowers, but, when you have so many veggies and herbs to plant, well, I thought having them right on the porch would be handy!

   Then I went outside and mixed up our compost pile.  My Sweetie and a few children moved all the leaves that we left from last year into the pile sometime last week, and I added freshly-cut grass today.  I moved it about 15 feet away from our property line, which is next to a farmed field that they spray their *poisons* on, and I am none-too-happy about it... oh well, what can be done?

   I can only hope to someday buy the property or that someone will get a clue! For now, I will just try to protect our compost and garden from whatever they think is better than God's plan for food.

   We are also excited that we have baby tomatoes sprouting!! YAY!!  Can't wait to get them into the ground!
