I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made: Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade. And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet's wings. I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart's core. >/h3>

What did I dream about? ( blogger friend school #18)

When I was a little girl I liked to plan my life.

I remember laying under the living room chandelier with a sears catalog and my pen and scissors planning my life. I would pick  myself- what i would wear and hairstyle. Then I would pick a husband and a wedding. We would of course have a home and then children... I always knew I wanted to be a wife  and mother.  And maybe on the side I could give Dolly Parton a run for her money..

While keeping up with all the latest styles.. Of Course! *snicker*

The appropriate verse that comes to mind is from Proverbs:

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

Oh yes... and the days past as well! Thank you Jesus for giving me my wonderful life. You planned it better than I could've ever imagined! Thank you Father!  - Briana

p.s. And no I never ever thought I would be homeschooling. I didn't even know what that was!

That's wonderful Briana! I love the catalog photos and that hair...I forgot about the long tail shirts! This is great, you did a good job on your Dreams assignment.

I remember doing the same things...I loved doing this...I would shop for my family too...decorate my house, and create lavish rooms...etc...this could be an all day...week...job! LOL...funny how children could entertain themselves with the simpleist things!

Now children have no clue how to entertain themselves if it doesn't require power of some sort!
Blessings, and thanks for sharing !

I love your post! You must still have that catalog around somewhere? What a cute picture of you. Sounds like such a fun idea for little girl to do with a catalog! Wish I had thought of it.
I remember that hair.....but the bow seems a bit much, doesn't it? I curled mine in a long layer cut but never made it big like that. Might have if I'd known how....ha. (that's the year I got married....)
And I remember the long shirts with the tight stretch pants. I think they were stirrup pants at one point, but that might have been a few years later.
Thanks for the fun post and the memories.

Have you watched Pretty in Pink recently? if not, you should see if your library carries a copy. Good movie, you'll love Molly Ringwald's style.
