This week is my "QUILTING WEEK" !!!!...................

I am so, so behind for my quilt class !! I did not get to go last month because of being sick and so now I am behind in what needs done for the month of June.

My husband and I talked about this and have decided that since I have nothing too impostant for this week, beside regular home keeping items, it will be my "QUILT WEEK" !

I know that some of you have asked for me to post some pictures of the quitl squares that I have been working on for this class and now, I finally know how to "size" the pictures to put here on my blog. So, as I am working on the squares this week, with my daughter's help, I will post pics as I get them done.

Wish me luck !!!

What a hard task I have been given.........

My husband told me to do nothing but work on my quilting today !!! What a hard thing for me to do, all day.........

I do have my daughters working on their schoolwork, but I am to worry about nothing else but quilting. My next class is a week from today and he wants me to be all caught up and ready to go. I also have a few other projects that are going unfinshed. SO I have alot to keeo me busy for the day.

My van is in the shop once again. So I can not go to town for anything and nothing else needs done around the house. The girls are working on their own laundry so as long as I rmember to cook supper, I am good to go with quilting all day.

Here is a pic of the whole quilt we are making in our class. It is from Thimbleberries company and it is called their "block of month" club. I am really enjoying the class time and I can not wait for the quilt to be finshed. We are working on block #3 this next week.

So far, we have made the (1) double hearts square(top corner), (2) the green start square(lower corner) and this next week we start (3) the two house square. So far everything is being made from triangles. To look at you would think it had other shapes sewn together, but it is only triangles!! I never knew that you could do so much with triangle pieces. I am loving this quilt !!

Well, I have got to get busy, I have alot of sewing to do.

Yesterday was Quilting Class !!

I had alot of fun and even stayed after class to work some more on my square. One part I was working on, I had to sew it THREE times !! But, I could see that my "point" was not matching up and if I could see it, I knew later, someone else would see it.

The ladies also taught us how to make a very cute notebook cover that could have a lot of uses. I cut out my material, lined things up and then wrote down a few extra instructions on my direction sheets so that I can work on this later. I just did not want to stop working on my quilt square at that time.

We have our instructions for the next square that we are to have done by next month. THis should not take to long. I am really enjoying the class and the "visiting" time with the other ladies.

I will have my daughter post pic of my finished square today. And also the lay-out of the notebook cover.

Till next time.....Have a good day!!

On Today's "To-Do" List .

Today I need to spend some time on my quilting. I have alot to get done and I just have not taken the time to do it. I will have another quilt class in a couple of weeks, and I need to have the baby quilt done by June. I am wanting to finish my table runner I had started last fall so I can use it this Spring.

I also have TWO other quilt kits waiting for me to get started on them. They are simple patterns to cut out and piece together, but it the hand-quilting that takes so long to get done.

So everybody have a good week-end and take time to enjoy your family. Remember to thank God for something today!!
