Something to add to the post below........

God is good ..................

I just went to the freezer to take out the meat for today and tomrrow to thaw and guess what I found ?????????

A 15 ib TURKEY !!!!!!!!

So, I will be thawing this out and roasting it this week-end. I will pull all of the meat off and come up with some recipes to use this in !!!!!

I am so excited. I totally forgot I had it in there. Making it to the end of the month will be no problem. I will just change up my menu some and stick in a "turkey" dish in between the rest of the things. Last time I did this, I used the meat for an "add-in" for my corn chowder, made "turkey" quesadillas and "turksy" pot-pie...........

It is endless what you can do with turkey.. So, again, Thank you Lord for hiding that turkey in my freezer till now.

I am so excited about making it till the end of the month !!!!

A Helpful hint for Meat Loaf................

I made meat loaf for supper tonight, and as I was making it, I remembered a tip that I had heard for cooking your meat loaf.

I think I got this off of the "Food Network" , not sure about the show but they said to place your meat loaf on top of sliced bread before baking. So, I did this and you would not believe !!!!

There was not a DROP of GREASE anywhere in the pan !!!! I mean, not a DROP !!!!  I am so excited !!  I use to have to get my husband to help me drain the grease off before I sliced the meatloaf and then also the clean up was a mess . But not to night. No grease at all.

So, your next time to make meal loaf, try this little tip and see for yourself !!  I will be doing this from now on.

Monday means Menu time...........................

It is that time, time for me to make out a plan for the week ahead for our meals. I may switch which day we eat these meals on, but it will be the meals that are cooked.

Sunday-- Home-made chicken noodle soup / bread

Monday-- Meatloaf / mashed potatoes/ corn/ peas/ rolls

Tuesday-- Pork loin chops / Rice / veggies

Wednesday-- Beef stew / corn bread

Thursday-- Ham & Bean Soup / corn bread

Friday-- Hamburgers/ FF

Saturday-- Breakfast items / eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravey

All of this is in my pantry/kitchen without me even have to go to the store !! Payday is Tuesday and I should be going to buy another 2-weeks of groceries, but as you can see, I still have a week's worth left here to fix. So I will be taking time to think about this and see what to do. Save part of my budget money, stock up on things on sale, or buy something for the house that I have been needing......... Something to ponder on these next few days.
