93 As a 1930s wife, I am Very Superior Take the test!

Okay,Kris has given us something to post about in the area of ".........we can change the world one act of random kindness at a time - "ARK."  We are to share how we may apply this to our lives.

One thing I like to do for my family and friends is listen.....I mean really listen, when they are talking. You may be surprised what you can really hear when you listen to them share something with you or others. There maybe a time that you "hear" they are running a little low on money and a "need" has come up in their lives. You may "hear" that their husband's work load has been a little short and just buying groceries could be hard at that time. You may "hear" that a young mother is going through a difficult time and could probably use sometime to herself.

With my family, I "watch" my oldest daughter and when I see the "stress" of college & work getting to her, I offer to "cover" her part of the dishes one night or get her laudry caught up while she is gone.  I see that my middle daughter is being a little bit withdrawn from the others, and I take time to have a "chat" with her, just the two of us.

I see that my youngest may be "feeling" the age gap with her older sister's and their social events and I take her out for dinner, jus the two of us.

I notice when my husband is tired and I try to meet his needs before he makes them known. I keep the bedroom nice and the bedding fresh, so that he gets a comforting night's rest.

I like to try and make note of everyone's "good, normal" day's emotions and then notice when that changes and they are having a hard time. I then draw from my past "notes to self" about that person and do something nice or comforting for them.

Great post ... I think you are doing what woman should be doing most - taking care of others! I truly believe that that is what God intended for our main job to be.
