More Than Rubies Monday......

We have our first assignment to do today. Kris is asking us to tell alittle bit about ourselves. So here it goes:
I have beem married now for 21 yrs to Jeff. We have 3 daughters, 18, 13, & 9. We have homeschooled our daughters for over 10 years now. We live out in the country on 4 acres now for almost 20 years.
My husband works at the state college in the city and has been there now for 27 years. It is the only job he has had since high school. I worked as a computer program for over 10 years after college. After alot of health problems and the drawing from God, I came home to raise my daughters myself. I have never looked back once.
I have been working TOS/HSN for about 2 years I think, as the Co-Manager of HSN. I love it. Some weeks, it takes up several hours in my day, but for most, it is only a few minutes a day.
When I worked outside of the home, I was always so "on scheduled" had my "To-Do List" and all of the stress that went with it, that since then, I can't get myself to stick to one now. I am working on this now and hope to do better this next year. I have had a home planner for the past few years, I get it all set up and ready to go, then I forget to use it.
I do believe in a Menu for meals and a shopping list. I have always done this and I feel totally lost trying to shop with out one. I tend to spend to much when I don't have a list.
About house work and chores with my daughters. Due to a very long illness that I went through, my daughters had to learn at an early age how to help out. When my 3rd daughter was born, my oldest (10 yrs at the time) had to care for her most of the day back then. Since then, we all help with everything. I have given them each "chores" that are for them to keep up with daily. But when it comes to cleaning the whole house, we all jump in to do it.
Each of my daughters keep up with their own laundry. They wash, dry and fold their own loads and help out with my youngest with hers. We all take turns keeping up with the towels. They also keep up with their own sheets and bedding. I am always here to elp and guide, but they handle their own.
We all take turns cooking. I do the most of it but if I am having a bad day with my health, my two oldest ones know how to put a complete meal on the table. I am very blessed.
I do have areas that I need to improve in greatly. I need to stay focused during the day and get more done. I usually don't get started good till after lunch with the house chores. ( Due to school work). So with my energy level already weak, I tend to drop before supper and I feel like I waste by evening time doing nothing, when I could be working on a home project or hobby.
I look forward to seeing what we all have to learn with this.
