Tuesday Morning here..........Wet cold and not ending soon........

Posted in Inside My Home

I am fine with the weather !!! I have needed it to turn off cool or cold for awhile now and the rain, ...well it doesn't bother me one bit. We need it, I am not doing anything outside today, and it makes for a great Fall day. I just hope and pray that need the rain really bad get some today.

I am trying to think of a soup or stew to make for supper tonight. I need to see what I have in the freezer. IF I have some ground turkey, I may make some vegetable soup with some corn muffins. How does that sound?  I really need to make out my menu for the week, it is Tuesday already.

I did not get to baking anything yesterday and I need to really make some Banana Nut Bread. My bananas NEED me to make this today.  I might also make some pumkin bread while I am at it.

Do you guys realize that Christmas will be here before we know it??? I mean today is Oct. 23 rd !!!! Have ever wondered, now that we are adults, why Christmas seems to get here so fast? I mean, we are still using the same type calendar, with the same amount of days on it, as when we were children. But it seemed back then, that there were so, so, many days between starting back to school and then Christmas, Right???

Okay, I need to get my Christmas organizer out today and see how far behind I already am for preparing for the holidays. You know, I may just wait till after Thanksgiving to start anything and just enjoy the "rush" of the holidays.............What are your thoughts on this?

First, let me say, thank you Lord for cooler weather. I have been waiting ever so patiently.LOL I too am making vegetable soup today with shredded chicken in it and cornbread on the side. I love cooler weather. However, I have a feeling we are going to miss fall all together.
As for Christmas, my theory is get as much done now so that you can enjoy the month of December. It sounds like a good plan and doesn't always happen.
Blessings,
Trixi

2007-Oct-23 - Rain and Christmas

Posted by Anonymous

I love the rain and we need it bad. We had some last week, but I stepped out briefly today and boy it had gotten hot again! Ugh!!

I can't believe how close Christmas is! It will be here before I know it. We will be making our family Christmas gifts, but there are things I'd like to get for the kids....so I better get to it. I really don't like waiting until the last moment...so hopefully I will be done by December, except for the ones we are making(they will be candles) and I'd like to wait until we are on our Christmas holiday from lessons:-)

Have a great day!

Lots of love,
Sommer
