I have a Question............
I have been asking this question to myself for a few days now.
I have 3 daughters, 18, 13, and 8 (almost 9). For a number of years, they could not wait for us to get them in their own bedrooms. You know how it goes, "My room wouldn't look so messy if I had one of my own."
Or, "I never have time to myself, I wish I had my own room." And "Mom, does she have to go everywhere I go, I just want to be alone." So are you getting the picture?
Okay, about a year or so ago, we got all three in their own room, painted just right, the bedding they wanted, everything to call it their own.
My question now is, " Why do I get up in the morning and I have to hunt down my daughters?" I never know which bedroom they are going to be. ANd on the week-ends, they all three are asleep in the same room. My husband just said to me lst night, " For a bunch of girls who wanted their own rooms, they sure are sharing the rooms alot lately."
I think it is sweet and I will not stop them. But I think the change of events is due to the fact that my oldest daughter is now going to school and working everyday and the other two never get to see her. There is a good thing to homeschooling your children ( we are into our 10th year.), they get so use to being together, they don't know what to do when they are apart for a good while. They each have their own friends and do their own thing, but at home, they are use to being together. They are very close and that is good. One day, when my husband and I are gone, they will be glad that they are so close.
Just thought I would share my findings this week-end.

I have a 11yo and a 6yo girls that have to share a room they say the exact same things that yours did.
That is sweet that after moving into own rooms they ended up being together anyways.

...and I'll bet you knew this would happen!! :-)
It really is such a blessing to see the siblings sooo close with one another. Our oldest has only been away at college for just two weeks, and after being practically begged by her brothers and sister to visit her already, we did this past weekend. The kids acted like they had a year's worth of stuff to catch up on over lunch...my dh and I hardly got a word in edgewise! It was such a blessing a blessing to see them chatting happily away with each other! That close homeschool relationship is like none other!
Have a wonderful week!

LOL cuz Mom, it's good to have your own space during the day, but at night, they need their sisters close by.
I was an only girl and would have loved to have someone near by at night with me. I guess its a sister thing.

Even my son makes a pallet in the girls room. We are threatening to just take the wall down between their rooms and have one huge room! I love the fact that they all want to be together. It is the reward reaped from always being together.
Blessings,
