Our kitchen is coming along.....

Posted in Inside My Home

We are slowly getting our kitchen finished.  My husband is having to work on it at might or on Saturdays.  The new floor is in and most of the cabinets are back in place.  The counter tops are installed and the island with sink and dishwasher is almost done. I can use the sink and all, there is just still work around the island to finsh.

Now I need to pick out wallpapper/border that I want to put in there.  Oh yeah, I also have the great task of cleaning out all of the cabinets and drawers and replacing the shelf-paper.  I will take this time to "declutter" my kitchen and either throw away or give away what I do not use any more.

I still can not get over all of the sunlight I now have in my kitchen since knocking down a wall and joining two rooms together.

It makes you want to jump right up in the mornings and get busy with the day.

Well, have a great day!!

It's so nice to have open rooms isn't it? You just don't realize what you are missing until a wall is gone.

I'm sorry I haven't been movign along as I should with visits to folks here, especially those listed as friends, as you mentioned. You are right...I was beginning to fall into that numbers trap I think. I'm glad you pointed it out. I've seen many blogs where they mention needing X number of friends to have 100...I don't want to be in that trap...yet, here I was, missing out on good fellowship but having many numbers on my listing :o(
I'm sorry I've left you and others behind.

Has the kitchen renovation been keeping yall busy? I'm anxious to hear about it and SEE it! It's a dream of ours to do what yall are doing now. The kitchen will be next on the long, long list of things to do once we get our den painted next week and then get some new carpet. I have new linoleum picked out for the kitchen...it looks like leaves skattered all over. Kind of a deep, country red and a pretty green. I'll check back on you. Come see me! I will be having a beautiful new blog design soon...maybe it'll make it more inviting for everyone. I hope so. hugs, Karen
