93 As a 1930s wife, I am Very Superior Take the test!

Not a lot going here at our home. It is raining out and will be most of the day. Hopefuuly the colder air will blow in and it will feel like winter here for good.

I need to go into town today, our little town, not the big city of Memphis. I never go into Memphis on the week-end, unless it just has to be. I need to get to the bank, the quilt shop and the post office. I think the post office will be closed by the time I get going, I may have to drive into the city.

My oldest is at work all day. SHe works behind the counter at our local phramacy. She is a hard worker. She hopes the the rain will slow business done some today, they like to take inventory and clean on Saturdays up there.

My husband has hurt his back somehow and his knees are not doing so great. That means he will be resting this week-end, I hope. Sometimes, he just needs to be still and rest.

I start my quilt class on Tuesday morning and I will post how things go and what we are doing first on the quilt. I think the first class will be more information, then sewing.

Well, I need to go and check on a ham I have baking. It will be good for the week-end to make some meals off of it. It smells wonderful right now. I think I will make some Potatoe Soup and rolls to go with it today,

Your soup sounds yummy~could you share the
recipe? I love soup/stew recipes and now that our
coldfront has ushered itself in, we are using the crockpot twice a week-one night for soup/stew and
another night for a roast or whole chicken. Mmm!
Looking forward to hearing about your quilt class as
learning to use my own machine is a goal of mine for this year..
Praying your dh is feeling better and know what you
mean about being still and resting..
