93 As a 1930s wife, I am Very Superior Take the test!

I can not believe how fast this summer is flying by. I am glad the very hot weather will be gone soon, but I hate the lazy days of summer must go with it.

It seems that I have not gotten done what I wanted to this summer and now we are starting back to our school work next week. We will still have some fun time to go and do things, but it is time to get back to the books, so to say.

I hate to admit that during the hot summer months, I barely bake and make anything in the kitchen. It just gets to hot ! So I am looking forward to the fall so that I can enjoy getting busy in the kitchen.

I am also starting to think about Christmas and baking and making gifts. I know you are thinking, "CHristmas in July" ! But really now, if you are one that likes to make gifts for others, you know you can not wait till Nov. to start. So I am now in my listing and planning stages. I have also started a few quilt projects to use as gifts.

Well the list is long and the day is short, so to speak, I must go and get busy.

I know exactly what you mean. It is already the middle of July. UGH!!! I am letting all three of my children go to Texas next week with the g'parents just so I can get a few things done.
