The Hunnicutt Homestead

Whew! We Made it!

After much pondering driving, visiting, etc.  We finally chose and closed on a new home just outside of Troy, Ohio.  It is an old home, almost 200 years old!  We are very excited but have much to do before we can really become fully moved in.  In the meantime we have managed to see God continuing to be ever present and directing our lives.

We met our neighbors, all very nice and outgoing.  One has commented that we are an answer to prayer as we seem to have so much in common with what we would like to do and what they were hoping for in a new neighbor.  Additionally, the neighbors accross the street have 2 young children that are very excited to have children close by out in the country.

Caleb caught his first "lobster", what in actuality was a crawfish.  Both boys were delighted about catching the multitude of ladybugs that seemed to be hatching in the windows everywhere.  We've seen several deer and the dogs have been thoroughly enjoying their romps through the pasture and creek.  I had the pleasure of removing Caleb's first tic last night.

We've visited one church so far, only to discover one woman's best friend had moved to Placitas as well as the fact that a couple who works at the church came from Calvary ABQ about 5 years ago!  There are so many activities, and homeschooling things going on as well.  We will be jumping back in to AWANA on Wed. nights, visiting the homeschoolers on Thursday, as well as various other meetings.

That's all for now.  My time on the internet is limited until we get it installed at home.  The girls are not tolerating sitting on the floor reading on their own...more to come...
