It's not uncommon to wake up one day and find that you simply have no drive.
Perhaps you were up all night with a sick youngster. Or maybe you were simply restless and couldn't sleep, period. Sometimes weather affects a person's motivation and energy level.
What is the best thing to do?
First, put on a smile. The day isn't nearly as daunting as you're making it.
Secondly, prioritize your tasks. Do only what needs doing. If you find you're more energetic later, you can tackle the other things too!
Most importantly, don't get lazy! Just decide you're going to do what needs doing!
Schedule in lots of extra "down time" with your dear ones. Read more books to your little ones. Go for a walk with your olders. Create a memory.
It's so funny you posted this. I have been a lazy girl today. I just woke up with absolutely no energy. I know I have so much I need to do, but I just feel drained, so I am choosing to do more of the tasks that don't take a lot of effort, like sewing, and the rest will just have to wait for later....except ofcourse for the have to's..dishes, laundry, etc.
Hi-I am also a christian homeschooling mom and I was reading about how you had to back up with your children in some subjects. I had to do the same thing with my children-it is worth it though-because if they don't have a good foundation in math or reading it will be terrible later on for them. Blessings, Rose
