At the risk of boring all of you with more "expectant talk"...
Tonight, at dinnertime, my two oldest daughters were discussing how wretched the castor oil smelled when they had opened it, earlier, to see why I was hesitant to try it.
"Did you smell that castor oil! It's terrible!" said one. "I don't blame you for not taking it, Mom!"
"It's so thick!" said the other. "How do you swallow it? Do you have to mix it with something?"
Always oblivious, 11 year old looked up from his plate and asked, "What casserole? What casserole is so terrible?"
obviously I'm so oblivious like your oldest son but I don't understand why you must to take this sickening oil?!
~~ From Carrie:
I don't *have* to... but my blood pressure is giving me grief, again, and I do not wish to go through another induction in the hospital. :-/
If I could get things started in good form on my own, it would be a good thing! (Not to mention for my own comfort's sake!) -- I will probably wait until I miss my due date before seriously thinking about such things as castor oil! <laugh>

I imagine a Castor Oil Casserole would smell bad too. LOL
Hope the baby arives soon, have you tried, let me be the first to say "PUSH, BREATHE, PUSH AGAIN".

I had to take it with ds-10. My midwife told me to make a root beer float and put it in that so it would go down easier. BAH! I couldn't drink root beer or eat ice cream for YEARS. I prefer to take it straight then chase it with some orange juice to kill the taste.
I'll share a funny with you :-)
After I had my last child(who is almost 4) I was in CVS buying "feminine hygiene products". Joshua(who was 6 at the time) said "MOM are you buying diapers?" My oldest two said "Yes!"(trying to be helpful and distract him lol) and he looks at me all perplexed and said "for yourself?" The oldest two very quickly said "yes, now let's go look at the candy" Fortunately that distracted him and I was able to avoid an embarrassing talk in the middle of CVS lol.
Your story reminded me of a cute interaction we had at church with a visiting Pastor's daughter. I was talking to his wife and his daughter before services and his daughter (maybe 5yo, if even) proceeded to tell us that she had led someone to the Lord. Her Momma says, "That's interesting considering you're not even saved yourself. How did you do that?" And the little girl, serious as a heart attack, replied, "I gave her directions to our house." Isn't that precious! Ha!
Carrie~
I tried the castor oil thing once. The only thing it gave me was horrid stomach cramping and a baby that was 3 weeks late!
In God's time, dear friend....in God's time.
Love,
Julie
PS: You watch that blood pressure! ANY tingling in your hands...get to that doctor! Keep your feet up and rest as much as possible!
