Shared in Our Walk as Women
|
You're a Christian. You're a sincere and dedicated wife and mother. But you feel there could be improvements in the manner in which you run your home.
Where do you start? Perhaps there are times when you feel that you're "spinning your wheels". Maybe you wake up with a mind full of tasks you wish to accomplish that day. But at the end of the day, you see how little actually was completed. And there were no unexpected emergencies. What happened? I would like to present some ideas, or "helps", that might make running your own home seem less "bumpy", and more productive. I plan to do this in several parts: 1) Arranging Your Workday (Prioritizing, creating a "plan" for your day, the importance of a planner/home-management folder, staying "on task", etc...) 2) Drawing Close to God (Without a close relationship to your Lord, you'll never truly succeed. In every area of your life, God must come first. How can you cultivate a relationship with your Creator, daily?) 3) Being a Wife (What does it mean to be a "good wife"? Are there any areas you can you improve? How can you encourage others? Being a wife that strives to please her husband is key to having a happy, calm and peaceful homelife.) 4) Being a Mother (Loving, accepting, training, encouraging, teaching ... all with the goal of leading them someday to Christ. You are a powerful influence, Mother!) 5) Being a Homemaker (I'll discuss tasks such as organizing, cleaning, laundry, cooking, and sewing. Arranging your tasks in an organized fashion.) 6) Dealing with "Bad Days" (When emergencies arise such as illness/injury, dealing with lack of energy/lack of motivation, unexpected visitors, special requests from your husband that cause you to feel more "overwhelmed", etc...) As I present each of these "parts" here on this blog, my goal is to improve in my own role as a woman. And I invite you to share your own tips, ideas and questions/problem areas, too. I pray that together, we can better serve our Lord through serving our families.
