"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19
In all of my stumblings, the one fact I've learned that outshines all the rest, is that the only reliable source of strength is the Lord. If I take my eyes off of Him, and instead, focus on present circumstances... weariness overtakes me, and I am an easier target for Satan. We may wake up in the morning feeling completely ready to battle whatever temptations the day brings us. But moment by moment, in our own strength, the battle becomes too much for us. As each difficulty or challenge greets you, it is vital that the link between you and God be rich and open.
Our days are constantly filled with such stressful situations as these that demand a close relationship with God to be handled properly. God should receive first priority in your day. Always make time for prayer and reading of His Word. Remind yourself of the Lord's presence. He is there for you! Whatever you face, today, you can trust Him to guide you and lead you. Pray for wisdom, grace, endurance, and cheerfulness. He is faithful, and has promised to answer your prayers. Life as an at-home wife and mother can be one of rich blessings. Don't let your responsibilities and the stresses that you experience rob your family of a bright and happy home. Your work is a service to the Lord. One in which you may not see results, now. But someday, your work will be rewarded. C. Rella |
