Thank you to all that have left me comments saying you are joining in or have already decluttered your homes! I truly love hearing from all of you. I didn't get to do much in the house yesterday since dh was off; we put up hay and ran some errands. I plan to make up for it today though, Lord willing. I am going to follow Sara and Flylady's plan today and do some crisis cleaning; working in each room 15 minutes at a time until I am done or out of time. I am going to do every room in the house and include the porch/yard as well because it also needs some attention. There are some areas that aren't too bad and I will probably only have to spend 15 minutes and then I will be done with that room, but others could take me all day (or all week). Once a room is done, I will just skip it on the next 15 minute rotation. I plan to just work as long as I can and get as much done as I can. I do have to go to a friend's house and check on things while they are on vacation and I am going to stop at Dollar General to see if they have any empty boxes I can have; to put my clutter in
I am so excited about the responses I have gotten about decluttering and I just love that so many of you are joining me in this challenge. I know several of you won't be able to join today because it is probably family day for you, but my dh is working today; so, I am pressing on. Join me if you can and if not, I am sure I will still be decluttering Monday too Blessings, Rashel |

I am so happy that I had a great response to yesterday's declutter challenge. I did get several bags of clothes out of my bedroom and a tote of stuff for the garage sale but, I still have a long way to go. So, I am going to keep decluttering today. Dh is off which means I may not be able to spend the whole day cleaning and decluttering, but he is out mowing hay right now which gives me a little time. I have laundry started and just made a jug of sweet tea, so I am ready to go. I must confess, I can't wait until I can give a report like Mrs. Wood and say that my house is "clean and free of distractions". Doesn't that just sound wonderfully relaxing and peaceful? Congratulations on a wonderful blessing for your home and family Mrs. Wood. And great job to all of you joining with me on this declutter mission!! Thank you also for commenting to let me know! Blessings, Rashel |

Okay all my fellow HSBers, I have a declutter challenge for you. First, I must admit this is as much a challenge for myself as it is for you (I have way too much clutter in my home). So, today I am challenging you all to see how much clutter we can get rid of in one day. All you have to do is declutter and then come back here and leave a comment saying you joined in. Simple as that! How much you declutter is up to you and how much time you have. I will post later as well to let you know how much I got rid of. You can use a plastic grocery sack, a trash bag, a shoe box, a moving box or whatever you have on hand - just get up and do it. Let's bless our homes and our families by getting rid of some of that clutter. On your mark, get set, GO DECLUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Talk to ya soon, Rashel |

Wow, time is just flying by around here! There is always so much I want to get done and never enough time it seems. Today I am trying to work on my bedroom, it is the place anything that doesn't have a home gets tossed. I have made some progress but not enough of course, there is only so much you can do with limited space and a homeschool book collection
Dh is off tomorrow and Saturday evening two families are coming over for an evening of fun, food and games. We have gotten together the last three weekends and this time is our turn to play host, so I better get a few more things done around here. We are still off from school and will go back around the first of January, not sure just when yet. I need to look at that and start some planning before long. Have a wonderful day. ***Oh guess what!!! I got the More With Less Cookbook for Christmas!! I am so excited. My husband also got me a cast iron cookbook, I can't wait to get to really look into both of them. Blessings, Rashel |

I haven't been decluttering much since we started back with schooling but I have gotten the bug this week. I did some yesterday and I am still working on it today. I am in my bedroom today trying to get it clean, decluttered and more organized. It must be contagious because the kids decided to do their room! They asked if they could rearrange their bedroom and I said yes, as long as it is clean when they get done. They are also getting rid of some stuff as they go. I took a picture of it in the middle of the process and I will take another when they are done, I might post them for you later. Okay, I am done with my lunch break, so back to work! Has anyone else been decluttering? Blessings, Rashel |

I finally did it! I finally decluttered this corner of my bedroom that has been haunting me for months now! I am so excited, now if I can keep it decluttered, I will be ecstatic. My bedroom if far from done but I am just rejoicing in the accomplishment of today. I am trying to get all the homeschool stuff organized, what I hadn't done already, and I had to get that corner done so I could get to one of the bookshelves Did you notice I haven't blogged much this weekend? Dh has been off since Friday and we have just been busy doing "stuff", football practice, grocery shopping, you know - stuff. Okay, I am off to finish my decluttering/organizing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Rashel |

We are taking a fun day today and going to the lake with my sister in law and her kids, they are older than mine but they all still play and have a good time. There is a nice beach spot we go to and it has a swimming area. So, no decluttering for me today. This morning I am just getting my morning routine done, one load of laundry and then the two oldest boys have to go for a physical for football. After their physicals, we are heading out of town. So, have a wonderful day and if you get the time, declutter and let me know how it goes. If not, enjoy your family and let me know that too!! Blessings, |

. I still have some organizing left to do and I need to get it done today because we are starting school tomorrow. Oh how I have thought of putting it off until I am all ready, everything is organized and decluttered, but that just isn't realistic and it is procrastinating. I am going to try very hard to be more consistent in our schooling and putting if off would be a bad way to start the year. So, we are starting tomorrow and I will have to fit decluttering in somehow
