Getting things back in order - UPDATED
Wow, the last couple of weeks have been busy with stomach viruses, broken bones and trying to babysit for friends. I feel like alot has gotten neglected around the house and I plan to catch up this weekend. Dh has to work all weekend so it makes for a good time to do it. It is just the basic stuff that needs done so our home can have a little order to it:
laundry - wash and get it ALL put away - still washing and drying and sorting!
dishes
dust
get down those annoying cobwebs - where do those come from anyway?
sweep
mop
make menu plan
work on stocking pantry list
check on supplies winter preparedness supplies
get supper made
make some no bake cookies
make jello
**UPDATE: My children went to their cousins to play for awhile and I decided to get some cleaning done while they were gone so I.........
cleaned off kitchen countertops
cleaned off kitchen table
cleaned microwave
cleaned stove top
picked up living room
sorted and put away all the dvds and videos
cleaned bathroom sink
cleaned toilet
wiped down washer and dryer
as well as those things marked off above
That is what I will start with and I will check in later to let you know how it is going. What are your plans for the day?
Blessings,
Rashel

I am in the same boat as you, my friend. The last couple of weeks of babysitting has really disrupted our house and I'm going to be playing catchup this weekend. My list is pretty similar...
Dishes
Laundry
Straighten up
Bake some bread
Make a cheesecake and apple pie for dinner at MIL's house tonight.
Work on sewing
I hope you get everything done you've set out to do today. How is your son's arm feeling? Let us know how he's doing!
Sara
**Oh, cheesecake is my favorite! It is amazing how an extra child or two can disrupt a routine, isn't it? My son is doing pretty good, unless it gets bump on accident. He goes to the orthopedic dr Monday afternoon, so I will post after that and give an update. Thank you for asking! I hope you get bunches done. I am going to mark some stuff off of my list now :)
Blessings,
Rashel

Saturday is a busy day around the homestead!
Rashel ~~
So far today has been a productive one! The sun is out and it's warmed up considerably here in NW Missouri! Saturday is our deep clean day.... we like to get it all spruced up for Sunday and get the shopping and what not done so we can rest on the Sabbath.
So far we have done: ( with the help of my children!)
~ organized school house ~ washed down the baseboards, tidied up book shelves, washed windows, swept and scrubbed floors! Ready for next week's schooling!
~ cleaned, dusted, mopped my bedroom
~ cleaned family bath and bleached the white tile!
~ Dusted parlor and woodwork in home, washed the windows
~ cleaned laundry room, washed down the washer & dryer and vacumed room
~ upstairs landing dusted, swept and mopped
~ kids room's cleaned drawers organized, closets tidied, dusted, mopped and swept!
What's left to do:
Make a batch of granola
Start supper
Make coconut cream pies for Sunday's supper
Enjoy a quiet evening at home!
Bless you!

**Wow!! You have been busy. I better update my list so it doesn't look like I am slacking ;)
