Homestead in Arcata, CA

Hello,

My name is Kathy. I live in Arcata CA. I am inspired to live a Homestead life, even though I live in a duplex in a town and not on some land out in the country. I am good friends with Lisa and am part of her Titus 2 group that meets at her homestead in Carlotta a couple of times a month. She has taught me how to become a homestead mamma and do the best with what I have, until the day that the good Lord provides me and my family with some land in the country.

Glad you are here. Thanks for the gentle reminder to "prosper where your planted," in my case on a 3/4 acre in a subdivision. I still can have a homesteader's life and the transition will be effortless. :)

Welcome to the blogg. I also leave in a town house in so cal where we have 6 dogs, 4 cats, 6 chcikens, rabbit, g-pigs. I also rent 3 acres 1 mile from me where we have our farm with about 100 animals. mj

Hi there, really nice to read your blog...you sound very busy but also very blessed!
In one of your paragraphs, I think you meant to say, "It probably sounds like I am whining" but you typed "winning" by mistake, and I wanted to tell you, YES! you are winning, because I can tell you are trying your very best for your family and to give them the best. Don't give up on your education, and do try to stick to your routine.
I know what you mean by the whole family benefitting from it- I am a routine slacker myself, but when I do buckle down and stick to it, everything just seems more peaceful and relaxing.
