Last November I worked my way through 1000 Gifts (click on it to see all my posts from last year). . . . . 1000 things I am thankful for. God is so good and daily shows me many more things to be thankful for. And as this is the season of thankfulness I am feeling the need to open up and share again things that pop in my head that I am thankful for . . . .

For my sister who makes me set aside a date for a sister day and does all the driving, who goes antique and scrapbook shopping with me, who keeps me trendy while clothes shopping and laughs as I try on those trendy items, who never lets me buy something that is too expensive or “so not me” and who shares her clothes, who sends me silly cards and asks for my opinion even if she doesn’t like it

I am quickly finishing off my One Thousand Gifts list. I have so enjoyed this challenge that I am keeping my little journal and hope to continue to add many more thanks over time. The Lord has opened up so much to me while working thru this. I have always known we were blessed but it seems even more overwhelming in black and white!May the Lord always find us thankful.

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.
DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
