MPM: What's for dinner

Well, I’m a day late. I couldn’t get on homesteadblogger yesterday evening AND we spent the day celebrating Sassafras’s 8^th Birthday!

Menu with Daily Costs

Of Note:  Lots going on here this week- bookending really. Sassafras’s birthday at the beginning of the week and an overnight trip with the youth group on the weekend. And of course, if all affects the menu plan. So I’m trying to keep the week simple- lots of good food, yet simple recipes.
Monday – Sassafras’s 8^th Birthday
B: Sass’s special breakfast order: Daddy eggs, bacon, toast, fresh fruit
L: Dine-Out – family field trip
D: Dine Out- Sassafras’s choice
Dessert: Birthday cupcakes
Daily Cost: $0 today’s cost of meals comes from birthday envelop [money we set aside for birthdays throughout the year]
Tuesday
B: Cinnamon French toast, applesauce
L: Special luncheon [Homeschool group- bring $2]
D: Tomato Soup and Maiden’s fancy grilled cheese
Dessert: choco- strawberry shakes
Daily Cost: $5.22
Wednesday
B: choice: cereal/yogurt and toast
L: Diner Dinner [fancy way to say choice of leftovers]
D: Baked Ranch Chicken, salad
Dessert: chocolate, chocolate chip bundt cake
Daily Cost: $8.70
Thursday
B: pancakes, applesauce
L: English muffin pizzas
D: Chicken-n-noodles, h’made bread, pickles
Dessert: leftover cake
Daily Cost: $5.15
Friday
B: Daddy Cook [eggs, bacon, toast]
L: Chicken sandwiches, chips, salad
We leave in afternoon for a youth group trip- the children will be staying with my parents until Sunday evening
Daily Cost: $5.86
Saturday
Youth Group Trip
Costs for me covered from youth fund- cost for Mr. Steady we saved and put aside for past few months
Daily Cost: $0
Sunday
B: Cocoa Wheats and toast
L: Leftover Smorgasbord
D: Dinner @ church [donation: $6]
Daily Cost: $7.15
Weekly Total: $32.08
