Where do you put the diaper when visiting?
Okay I just had to share a chuckle- I was checking my sitemeter and found that someone googled "where to put a dirty diaper when visiting" and it brought them to my blog?!

Well, dear readers, where do you put a dirty diaper when visiting?

Well, dear readers, where do you put a dirty diaper when visiting?
Thank the good Lord I don't need to worry about this one anymore.
But allow me to share what Mr. Steady and I use to do- first, if it was a family with a diaper-wearer we would simply ask where to dispose of the disposables, otherwise we would use one of the following methods:
plastic grocery sacks- double bagged (I always kept a wad of grocery sacks stuffed in the crevices of the diaper bag)
OR
we used those handy-dandy little blue plastic fresh smelling disposable diaper sacks (come in little rolls) you can purchase in the baby aisle. These were handy because they kept the stench at bay- which is a good thing if you are visiting for awhile and need to "hide the evidence". It also proved great for hiding the odor of soiled clothes when Mr. C was potty training- you have to have somewhere to store those too when visiting.
Obivously using the grocery sacks was much more frugal but those smelly sacks were the bestest!

We use disposable diapers, and if I am at someone's home and the little one's diaper is changed, I will usually use their trash can and quietly tell them afterwards that I left a diaper in thier bathroom trash. If it is a stinky one, I would do the same as you, put it in their trash and tell them. I tell them because I want them to be able to know so they can take the extra step of taking it outside to their trash, etc. if needed.

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.
DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
