God is a decorating genius

We have accumulated over 15 inches of snow and more is falling. It’s up to my knees- which for some reason I find very humorous. All this beautiful fluffy white snow just makes me smile whenever I look out the window. The children wish it wasn’t so fluffy- they so badly want to make Snowmen and snow forts (they purchased a bag of large carrots for noses 4 weeks ago and have yet to use a single one- however I’ve snuck 2 carrots out of the bag . . . . .) I guess it’s just not as much fun to go “snow wading” which is what they are currently doing in the backyard. . . . .
I took the time to enjoy my own snow wading hike out at my parent’s farm yesterday. I just couldn’t think of a better way to spend part of the first day of the new year than to go leave footprints my mark in the pristine white canvas of land.
Here is a lovely pine tree in my parent’s side yard- it’s between the house and the garden.

The kids were sledding out on the hill- I went down the hill on the other side towards the stream that runs through the back property line. Here is a view as I’m making my way down the hill.

Here is the stream- snow is still falling.

I marvel at the beauty God has laid out before me. How remarkable.

God is an awesome decorator isn't he?? Wow...those photos are gorgeous. 15 inches??? I can't imagine whatg that is like wading in the snow up to your knees. Glad you are enjoying it!!
