Lovely Weekend
We enjoyed a wonderful, lovely weekend here. The weather was chilly but we accomplished quite a bit. We spent Saturday doing fall clean-up and winter prep. The girls cleaned the patio furniture and carried it to the carriage barn for storage. I removed all my what-nots and statuary from the gardens and we put them to bed- the gardens not the kids (cleaning up and then covering with a thick blanket of leaves). The girls helped Mr. Steady clean up in the barn- hanging the bikes and putting away summer toys and such and general tidying. Mr. C helped me (sort-of) with some clean up on the back porch.Then Saturday nite we have my youth group over for Dinner and a Movie. Each youth brought an ingredient for our Taco Dinner and we watched the movie The Ultimate Gift. A great movie but it wasn’t able to keep the junior high boys attention.
Sunday was our children’s Thanksgiving program during worship and then the church Harvest Dinner afterwards. A great time of fellowship with friends and family.
It was just a wonderful, productive, yet relaxing weekend.
Just the way I like it!

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.
DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
