Prayer request

My brother is in the hospital right now. He woke up late last night feeling bloated and found when he used the bathroom that he was bleeding from the r*ct*m. My parents were called to come and stay with the kids [J is 3 and S is 2 mos.] and my sil took him to the hospital.
They were in the ER all nite and still this morning as the hospital was full (no room for him anywhere else I guess). They have run and continue to run many tests and he is to have a colon*scopy tomorrow. They will continue to keep him in the hospital to clean him out for the procedure tomorrow.
My mother didn't feel she could take care of both kids all day and asked us to take J for the day. And so he is here at my home. My sil will be staying the night again with my brother and is trying to make arrangements for the kids tonight (either her mother or sister).
My brother isn't in a lot of pain- just discomfort. His biggest issue is that he can't eat or drink anything- not even water. He doesn't want to talk too much because his mouth is so dry.
Please pray for my brother and for the rest of the family also as we come alongside today.

What a scary thing to have happen and how uncomforable. I hope it ends up being something benign and simple...that all he needed was a "good cleaning out" and some rest. Has he been under any big stress lately? It's amazing how (and where) stress effects our body.
