MPM: Eating from the Pantry and Freezer

Menu with Daily Costs
Produce popping up in the garden and on the menu this week: lettuce, tomatoes (for salads and sandwiches), potatoes. Also of note: This week and into next week I am challenging myself to serve meals from the pantry and freezer. We will be going on a short vacation soon and I need to set aside some extra money and this is the most logical place to start. My costs are still listed on here (since we did pay for the food!) but it's all coming from the garden, the pantry, the fridge and the freezer. Only cost from the grocery fund this week will be to purchase milk.

Monday        
B: French Toast, cut-up kiwi and banana on the side
L: Dlx tomato sandwiches, pickle spears
D: Corn Chowder, h’made bread
Dessert: Blueberry cobbler
Daily Cost: $5.60
Tuesday
B: English muffins w/ cinnamon cream cheese and sliced bananas
L: Cup-o-Chowder (yesterday leftovers) w/ cheese toast points
D: Paprika chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies
Dessert: none
Daily Cost: $6.94
Wednesday
B: Choice: yogurt or cereal
L: Polka Dots
D: Pigs in a Blanket, chips
Dessert: Drop-in-the-buckets
Daily Cost: $7.39
Thursday
B: Iced cinnamon rolls, sliced kiwi & bananas
L: Pigs-n-blanket (Wed. leftovers), pickle spears, chips
D: Leftover smorgasbord
Dessert: none
Daily Cost: $2.07
Friday
B: Scrambled eggs w/cream cheese, toast
L: Diner Lunch- order from the “Leftover Menu”
D: Dinner with couples from homeschool group Bring: Triple Fudge Brownies
Daily Cost: $3.99
Saturday
B: Daddy cook [eggs, bacon, toast]
L: My Sister’s engagement Luncheon Bring: Mr. Steady’s Cucumbers & Spoonbread
D: Dinner w/friends Bring: Pasta Salad
Daily Cost: $8.75
Sunday
B: Cocoa Wheats, toast
L: Homemade pizza
D: Lunch leftovers
Daily Cost: $7.15
Weekly Total: $41.89
