Recipe: Paprika Chicken

My family loves this recipe for Paprika Chicken. This is also a great recipe to make in the summer as you don’t heat up the oven- just cook it on the stovetop. This recipe can be made in about 20 minutes. I consider that to be pretty fast.

Paprika Chicken

½ cup flour

2 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. garlic powder

4 chicken breast halves

¼ cup butter

1 can Cream of Chicken soup

¼ cup sliced green onions

1 8 oz. container sour cream

In a small bowl, mix flour and seasonings. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Heat butter in skillet and add chicken. Cook until browned.

Add soup and onions. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes or until done. Stir in sour cream.
The sour cream makes a delicious gravy. I serve this with rice or mashed potatoes to make better use of the gravy. Our favorite side dishes with this recipe are mixed veggies and/or a mixed greens salad.
We consider this to be a pretty heavy meal so we go light on the dessert. This is a great night for Sassafras to make Jell-O.
