Steady and quiet and volcanos

I am so thankful for my husband. Mr. Steady is just that- my steady rock. We had a very good discussion yesterday and his take on it all is that I just had to talk, talk, talk it out with him and move on. We both do not feel lead to rock the boat on this one but instead when hurt or upset to just keep going to God with it and let it go.
I have spent many years harboring hurts and misplaced wrongs and it's only truly been in the last year that I have really learned to take it to the Lord first and foremost and let Him show me exactly how to deal with it. So it is still hard for me to suffer quietly! LOL
Mr. Steady does not see an apology from me doing anything but continuing to stir the pot and just thinks we should keep quiet on the whole matter unless approached otherwise. Since my words so far have been misunderstood or taken out of context I tend to agree whole-heartedly that buttoning up would be wisest.
Since buttoning up is totally the opposite of my entire personality I have been in prayer that I don't mess up or harbor it inside. It isn't enough to be quiet because all the hurt can just simmer inside until your a roiling boil of hurt and confusion and then when you (of all people) least expect it you erupt in anger and hurt like a massive volcano. And yes, I speak from experience and let's just say the volcano is often worse than just speaking your mind from the beginning. So I pray not only to keep my mouth shut but for the Lord to take away any hurt or pain or ill will I may harbor before it even starts to simmer. I do not have a thick skin and I am asking the Lord to help me.  I believe that He will and by His strength all will be well.

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.

DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
