School and incentives
We finished school for the morning about half an hour ago- snow is such a great incentive! Maiden had a math test today and only missed half a point. I am so proud of her- she's never done so well and she didn't fret and get frustrated, just plowed right through it. We are both excited about how well she did. She can't wait to show her Daddy when he gets home.Speaking of school- one of my sil's is Sassafras's caravan (church scouting program) teacher and commented to me just yesterday about how well she is doing and what a great reader she is. She went on to say (with a wink) that she must have a great teacher! Aw, shucks. It was exactly what I needed to hear- a balm to a battered spirit yesterday. Thank you Lord for sending her just when I needed the lift and reminder.
And so the kiddos are out playing in the white stuff and I am resending my youth pastor report to the church secretary and finding a bit of time to catch up on blog-reads.

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.
DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
