Home Sweet Simple Home

Glorious Morning

10:29 AM, 2006-Dec-7 .. Posted in Family Life .. 0 comments .. Link

Oh, what a glorious  morning. It is snowing, snowing, snowing. We hadn’t really had a good thick complete ground covering snow yet- until today in our little neck of the woods. It’s absolutely beautiful.
It’s nice to be inside all toasty, cozy with bellies full of breakfast, devotions done, school started and no place to go.
I am most content today. Which is saying a lot after yesterday morning. Yesterday morning was a definite hiccup in our simple and glorious celebration of Advent and Christmas. I am so thankful the Lord heard my heart’s cry and touched me; bringing me peace and calm that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
It is quite interesting how we can get off track sometimes and to continue down that track even though we know it’s not right and is leading us further and further away from where we need to be.
Ah, peace has been restored and we are glorying in this wonderful day the Lord has brought us!

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.

DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
