Jesse Tree Devotional

The devotional I am using for our very first Jesse Tree this year is Ann Voskamp's e-book The Glorious Coming. Just click on the title and it will take you to the purchase site. The cost is a small $7.95. Or right next to it is another e-book, The 12- Week Holiday Planner for the Christian Family and Ann V.'s devotional is included in the planner (its a 2 for 1 deal!) the cost is only $12.95.
I decided to just puchase The Glorious Coming because I already have my own holiday planner that I've been tweaking for years.
I do believe that both of these are very worthwhile. I love the pictures Ann V. uses for the ornaments. We will be cutting and pasting ours on heavy mauve cardstock today and laminating them. We're still deciding if we will make a simple Advent tree on the wall or use our ficus or another small broomstick tree.
There are many, many, many Jesse Tree devotionals and info out on the web. Just google Jesse Tree and you'll find oodles. I've waded thru some of it and this was my pick. I'll share what I am thinking of it as we go.

Your day sounds truly wonderful! I've been up and doing housework this morning and I actually got dressed(Usually for me I get dressed mid morning) I've done devotions with the boys and have done my devotions this morning too.
I think your advent ideas sound wonderful!!!!!

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD11- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD8- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added spice of flavor to our family.

DS4- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He likes to think he's in charge and often is! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
