Updating Planners
My Homeschool Group (called LAMP Group- for Learning At My Place) has decided that when we have our end-of-the-school-year musical that we will display our notebooks and/or planners from the year for each child.So right now I am working a bit on cleaning up and beautifying Maiden's planner. Because I just can't stand showing off messy work. I just can't.
Of course, I could just have her display her LAMP Notebook and keep the planner at home . . . . but I can't decide quite yet.
I am keeping 1 planner, 1 LAMP Notebook (for our homeschool state studies), 1 Polished Cornerstones/Character Building Notebook and 1 Unit Study Notebook for each girl. No, it's not hard to do and yes, I like it that way. Everything seems to stay a bit more tidy.
And as long as I am admitting my *nal retentiveness- I also color code everything. Each subject in the planner is assigned a certain color and each girl's planner etc. is their own color. I enjoy being organized. In fact, I enjoy writing the color coded lists that keep me organized. I am an organizational freak. Office supply stores make me swoon!

My Husband (DH)-Mr. Steady
My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.
DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.
DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.
DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
