Goings On

We have almost finished putting our gardens to bed here. Mr. Steady wants to put a bit more mulch on top (he likes it nice and thick) and I still need to do a bit of trimming/cleaning out in one bed. With all the rain and cooler temps here everything is brown, stinky and slimy. Ugh.
It’s wet today too but a bit warmer. Mr. Steady’s goal today is to put up plastic on 2 more windows.
I continue to keep up our cleaning routine and now have my holiday planner out. My little brain is just churning with ideas for Christmas presents and such.
I finished my first real knitting project- a head scarf. I hope to post a photo at some point. I have already begun my next project- a regular scarf. I am also planning on making a few polar fleece scarves for friends and family (and one for me too!) . . . . . just waiting to the polar fleece sales at an area fabric store.
I am also in the midst of planning Maiden’s 10^th birthday (December 13th). She and I are planning a friends party (we do small family parties every year and add a friend party for 5^th, 10^th, 13^th, 16^th birthdays). She has decided on the theme of scrapbooking so I am going thru my scrapbooking supplies and making copious notes on ideas I have  . . . . . one such idea is to have the party on a Saturday afternoon instead of in the evening (giving us more family time and it’ll be easier for Mr. Steady and the other 2 kids to disappear for awhile).
We are also going to be putting up our Thankful Tree today- I had planning on doing this last week but time got away from us.
