The Last Name

I have renamed my DD6- my middle child. She shall hence forth be known as Sassafras. This is actually one of her true nicknames; also shortened to Sassy. Sometimes that name sure does fit.
As it says in my side bar- Sassafras is used in flavoring and she sure does flavor this family!
Each of my children are unique in so many ways and Sassafras is no exception. She is an exception to the “usual” middle child- she is not a mediator (that’s Maiden) and there is no squeeze put on that leaves her left out of something. We are very adept at making sure “everyone has a turn” here.
She is the Otter of the family; fun-loving and free-spirited as well as forgetful and a mis-placer or breaker of all things semi-precious to her and/or another family member!
Here she is yucking it up with her Uncle. Pumpkin guts anyone? (Oh, and that's Mr. Conductor looking on so sweetly- in reality he is doing his best to keep from having to clean out his own pumpkin!)

She has one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen. I just absolutely adore the gap she has between her front teeth and the 10 freckles that dust her nose and cheeks. She has the most infectious, contagious and down right hysterical laugh.

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. Job 8:21

My Nana (Grandma) used to call me that when I was little...ohhhh, it brings back memories. I had forgotten! Great nickname!
